Okay, we all know that picking your nose is gross - frowned upon by most people. But not by everyone. A snot-spotting study is being set up around the country to check out exactly what's going on in or coming out of your nose. Green-fingered youngsters are being asked to dig deep to help a team of experts find out more about their health and the environments they live in. The experts want you to collect bogies and send them in, along with details about when and where you picked them and how healthy you were at the time. Once they've had a good look at bogies from around the country they plan to have special bogie-ometer cards made. The cards will let you match your mucus to different coloured panels to discover if you've been breathing in pollution, if you have any infections or if you are suffering from allergies. The cards will be made by TV-Loonland, who created the popular cartoon series, the Cramp Twins. In the series, the terrible twins - blue-skinned Wayne and his pink brother Lucien - are fascinated by things like snot and slime. Lucien is also keen on looking after the environment - just like the experts who are doing this study. If you would like to donate your snot to science you can call the Snotline on 0208 569 9889, or contact Nicky Menina at: The Wright Partnership 2 Thameside Centre Kew Bridge Road Brentford, Middlesex TW8 OHF more...
