The annual Borough Schools Cross-Country Championships turned into a medal bonanza for Southend High.
The Prittlewell Chase outfit make a clean sweep of all the prizes.
They captured every individual and team race and easily claimed the overall championship.
Their victory romp started in year seven with John Staines winning in 10mins. 25 secs, while Tom Frith (9.53) led a one-two-three for Southend High from David Smale and Matthew Lee at year eight.
Year nine winner was Lewis Bickford (9.48) and there was an amazing performance in the years 10/11 event where Southend High filled the first nine places.
Victory went to William Marriott (14.39).
Not surprisingly the 12/13 race went to star Southend High athlete Adam Hickey who, two days later, claimed a place in the Great Britain team for the European Junior Cross-Country Championship.
He won in 13.17 from his Southend AC team-mates Mark Bailey (Westcliff High) 13.20 and Southend High's David Crichton (13.23).
Incidentally, it was Hickey's fifth consecutive individual gold at the Southend event, which was held at Garon Park.
