Death on railway line causes disruptions

COMMUTERS are facing a disrupted journey after a fatality on the line at Witham Railway Station.

A person was involved in a collision with the 1pm Norwich to London Liverpool Street train at around 2.15pm today (Friday, March 9).

Both lines have been closed and train operator One is hoping to resume normal service for this evening's rush hour.

Trains are running between Norwich and Colchester and between Chelmsford and London. A replacement bus service is being provided between Colchester and Chelmsford.
