Man stabbed eight times

A MIDDLE-AGED man was stabbed eight times with a screwdriver.

Police have launched an investigation to trace the two offenders responsible.

The 54-year old man was attacked in his own home in Dungannon Chase, Thorpe Bay, on Friday at 9pm.

The assault left the victim with at least eight puncture wounds to his chest, thought to have been made by a wooden handled screwdriver.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.
