A GRIEVING father has raised £2,500 to show his family's appreciation for Basildon's St Luke's Hospice.
John Oliver lost his daughter, Joanne Majri, to cancer six months ago.
Since then he has been busy raising cash through friends, family and the fan club of Norwegian chart toppers, A-Ha, who Joanne, 35, was a big fan of.
John, 61, of Taits, Corringham, said: "The hospice looked after her so well.
"We wanted to put something back and help them carry on the good work they do."
Mr Oliver and his wife, Elizabeth, and Joanne's daughter, Nadia, nine,
presented a cheque to the hospice's Marilyn DeBattista.
