Oh my dog! Chantelle's come in with her pooch!

THEY say it's a dog's life - but for pampered pooches, a pet boutique and grooming parlour in Chelmsford is the place to go.

Diva Dogs opened in New Street in the county town around nine months ago.

The latest famous face to enter through its doors was Wickford girl and Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Preston. She brought her chihuahua, Beetlejuice, to get the all-star treatment.

Boutique owner Louise Harris has had previous celebrity visitors who like to give their dogs some special pampering.

But she added: "It was a real surprise when Chantelle walked in. We didn't know she was coming.

"Her dog is about four months old and she bought it a pink check coat with angel wings, a five-row silver diamante collar and a silver diamante lead - and had it groomed as well."

Louise declined to say how much Chantelle spent, but reckoned she was very pleased with her purchases.

"I hope we shall be seeing her again," she added.
