Police probe cycle rider's death

POLICE have launched an investigation after a cyclist was found dead near his bike.
The man, aged in his 50s, was found lying near the bicycle in Usk Road, South Ockendon, on Sunday morning.
The local man has yet to be identified.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said: "It is as yet unclear if the man fell and injured himself, or was involved in some sort of accident with a vehicle which failed to stop."
