Growing our own – thanks to tremendous fundraising

CHILDREN at a Rochford school are able to grow their own fruit and vegetables thanks to a fundraising effort.

Friends of Holt Farm have raised more than £10,000 for Holt Farm Infants School over the past three years.

The cash was used for equipment and a garden was created to teach the pupils about gardening.

The school has also recently been given a community cash bank grant by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

This is to be spent on outdoor activities.
