Pupils get nature lesson

CHILDREN learned about the environment when an expert came to Crowstone Preparatory School, in Rochford, for a nature day. Ross Gardner, who built and developed a wildlife facility for the school with his brother Chris, did activities with the children such as pond dipping and insect classification. Science co-ordinator Sue Martin said: "It's lovely because it's a good resource for the children. It's great they had a visitor who could answer all their questions. It's a fun way for them to learn about the environment and habitat around them."   more...
