Police seek car owner after garden wall smash

A MAN is on the run from police after fleeing a car which had collided with a garden wall, a lampost and another car.

Police have blocked off the end of Mouuntbatten Road, Braintree, where a smashed up blue Mitsubishi sits abandoned.

A red Fiesta, which was on a driveway, is damaged and the large garden wall, which was half demolished, is being pulled down.

Sgt Dave Richards, of Bocking Road policing unit, said police were following the Mitsubishi, which was suspected of being involved in a crime. He thought two people escaped the car, and police are trying to track down both of them.
